Bubby cut my head in two

With a chainsaw.

That was the dream I was having when I woke up this morning.

There was a “real” me watching from a distance and a “fake” me whose head was cut in two. And, of course, Bubby. With the chainsaw.

Fake Me almost looked like a wax figure—unflawed, beautiful (I said it was a dream). And when he cut my head—down the middle at my ears—there was no blood, no flinching, no pain, no emotion. Real Me watched, looking away at times because watching was painful.

Fake Me looked him in the eyes the whole time. Completely present with what was happening. Knowing that it was for good and out of love.

And from his perspective, what came up was separating the hurt and the old fear/pain from what is essential.

When he got to the bottom of my neck Real Me realized that Fake Me was going to die. I started to feel woozy and weak and I was just about to buckle at the knees and fall and I woke up.

Don’t suppose this has any relevance right now…

Somehow my comment went to the wrong area – I am sure Freddy Krueger had something to do with that.

I am a believer in dreams containing messages, some are very clear some are obscure but they can all be dechipered if you let your heart do your thinking.

How about you?
